I read from someone in my FB Vegas group that they too have a Mirage reservation and they spoke to someone who told them to expect an email about a week before they are due to arrive. Apparently they are trying to figure out where to put people and still accommodate guest with reservations already at the other properties.

I'll probably end up a Days Inn in Henderson.

Even when I stay at Bellagio i am not crazy about their casino so usually play at Caesar or Cosmo and I have heard conflicting reports on crowds at various places but the video I have seen of Cosmo made it look as busy as ever .

Plenty more $5 tables ? Not on the strip that I know of. I like playing low limits too...then I can play for hours. I have played $5 at Luxor at off times but getting a seat was hard.
I was at Cosmo last week. It was really busy in the casino and public areas on the weekend, not so much during the week. There were a ton of people checking in/out.

Glad to hear masks will be required indoors. Makes me feel more comfortable for our trip next month. We were going mainly to sit by the pools anyhow.

I'll be there next weekend. I'll be sleeping with my mask on. Despite the required notation I can guarantee you there will be many rednecks not wearing them spewing their virus all over place.

Not just rednecks. I was in the OC yesterday, and at SNA, plenty of self-entitled well-off folk that weren't exactly spring chickens were spewing about the airport. There was an LAS flight departing near my gate, although it seemed to be an airport-wide issue.

There seems to be an assumption that Vegas is some magical place where you can do whatever you want without consequences. Everyone walks down the street drinking and drunk. Half naked women on every corner. I am sure there are people that think the virus can't find them in LV especially after drinking one of those yard long giant drinks.

Well I'm scheduled to be checking in the Mirage next Thursday and still no email saying don't bother. I cannot get a hold of them--telephone or email UGH. Of course the mirage is "sold out" for next weekend Thursday-Saturday.

ETA. Just checked the MGM page. It's due to open July 16th. Okay so no what...

I assume that you have already signed up for Mlife. I would contact them. Try this # 866-761-7111 and give them your Mlife # and tell them that you would rather stay at a hotel that is open. I would cut them some slack because they are overwhelmed with the logistics of this cluster. Be extra nice and tell them that you would prefer to be moved to Aria.

The governor has said that he would prefer encouraging compliance rather than issuing civil penalties, but casinos will always be at the center of attention in Nevada and they'll potentially also have the NGCB to deal with - so I can see casinos being pretty aggressive on face covering enforcement. Most casinos I'm aware of already have staff handing out surgical masks so there is little excuse not to comply. I guess we'll see how it plays out this weekend.

Personally, I think the face covering requirement is moronic; if they're going to institute a requirement under the claim of preventing respiratory droplet spread, they should at least be requiring wearing of surgical masks (acknowledging that the CDC still does not recommend general wearing of surgical masks because, somehow, the USA still doesn't have enough of them). That said, I also think it's very poor behavior to enter any establishment which requests guests/visitors wear face coverings with the intention of not wearing one.
