You pay to take a picture with them. It's the same with all the Star Wars and other characters out there. I always feel for those poor freezing girls out there though. At least the Chewbacca costume is nice and warm.

They want to pose for pictures with you in exchange for tips. (Tips rather than a set fee because of something about how the law works here.)

Golden knights?
My Vegas partner in crime is there now and has been begging me for months to go on the trip with her. She has a free Aria Sky Suite room (biz trip) and she usually gets me in for some of their meals. But my last couple trips have been a total bust with the gambling so I had to have some self control and say no. It's killing me. God I hate being a grown up sometimes.

It's a good location, and the venue is decent, not quite as nice as some of the other arenas (being in the desert sort of limits you to the designs). I saw a Kings preseason game there as well as a regular season VGK game. Definitely very popular with the locals.

I've seen 5 Cirque shows (Mystere, Zumanity, O, Love, and the one at Aria whose name I forget). I like them all, I'd say that the difference in price from the lower-priced to the higher-priced is not matched by a difference in quality.
I saw Sigfried and Roy in 1992, but it's not relevant because it's gone and not coming back.
I liked Penn and Teller but wasn't overwhelmed.
I saw Celene Dion in 2004 and was totally underwhelmed, but the girl I was with liked it a lot so it was worth it. Pricey though.
I saw Elton John in another venue around 10 years ago, he was performing without a band, and I was likewise totally underwhelmed. Keep in mind that I have about 15 Elton John albums in my collection and zero Celene Dion. He just can't sing anymore. People should know when to retire, and I say that equally about artists I idolize and those I am completely indifferent to.
I saw one, I forget who - it might have been Terry Fator but I forget, it was the ventriloquist who won "America's Got Talent" at Planet Hollywood. It was nice. Not thrilling, but nice. I went because my dad wanted to.
Saw Jay Leno some years back, he was hysterical (and very dirty) - don't know if he's performing anymore. I'd like to see Bill Maher but he only plays weekends and I avoid weekends. Obviously Trump fans should stay home.
And then of course you can get a private show in your own hotel room, just call... oh, wait, this isn't that kind of board! (I learned all the great spots for drugs and everything from high-end escorts to crack whores when I lived there with my girlfriend a few years ago.)

Saw Absinthe last month on the recommendation of a number of Vegas locals. We LOVED the show. But it's not for everyone because nothing is sacred...
One man in the audience had the misfortune of being picked on, and he didn't appreciate the raunchiness of what was being said. He left the show!!
In the same show, other audience members were extremely good sports, played along, and they definitely added to the humor in the show!

Some friends and their families and I saw Jerry Seinfeld perform this weekend at the Colosseum. I last saw his act in the mid-2000s I think, when he'd supposedly thrown out all his old material and started completely fresh (although I caught one bit in that show that was recycled from "I'm Telling You For The Last Time").
I *think* this was all mostly new stuff since that tour in the mid-2000s, but wouldn't swear to it (and I again caught one, different, recycled bit from "I'm Telling You...") Our group included pretty much the entire range of Seinfeld fandom from never watched the TV show to people who can quote nearly every line of every episode, and we all enjoyed it thoroughly and agreed we could totally see going again.
Mario Joyner opened, and was quite entertaining and funny as well.
