Advice for family friendly hotel - late night arrival with tired 4 & 2 year olds!

Going to be arriving relatively late on a BA flight from London, with my wife and two kids (4 & 2). We want two nights in Vegas before heading off to the Grand Canyon North Rim and then onwards to Scottsdale for our summer hols.

Previously stayed at the Signature MGM Grand as a couple, as it gives great views and avoids the packed reception/lobby experience, and those awful check-in lines in the bigger hotels which I detest. Problem is all of their rooms come with just a single King bed and the second is a small-ish sofa bed, and not sure my two kids would get two comfortable nights sharing that! The Signature doesn't offer rollaways...

We'd like a nice hotel, but one where the whole check-in experience is pretty swift and not endless trudging from reception to the room. I just know my two kids will be in a "state" after a long-haul flight and being woken up in the 'middle of the night' to get off the plane, and all the hassle of getting out of the airport etc.

I saw the TRUMP hotel has good rates and nice rooms with two Queens. Any other good family-friendly options?

Thanks for any advice offered.

Vdara has the benefit of not having a casino to walk through or long check-in lines. The basic rooms (studio suites) are quite large have a king bed and a fairly large sofa bed (I think it's a queen) which is quite comfortable. It also tends to be very quiet so the kids likely won't be awoken by late-night partying.

The Hilton Grand Vacations on the Strip would also be good as long as you book a one bedroom suite which has a large sofa bed. There’s no casino or long lines and rates can be quite cheap depending on your dates. The rooms are spacious and there’s a nice pool. It’s a bit farther from the centre of things but so is trump (which you mentioned).

You don't mention what time of year you are visiting, but as a local, I highly recommend the M Resort off strip. They have rooms with two queen beds, a short walk from front desk to the elevators, and absolutely modern, updated rooms. They have a free shuttle service to and from McCarran, on a set schedule. They also offer free shuttle service to and from the Strip on a set schedule. The M has very affordable rooms AND suites, in case you want a separate one bedroom from a huge living area.

OOPS, I see you are planning summer time. The M has a fabulous outdoor pool area that kids love. Normally not congested like many Strip pools

The Homewood is a great suggestion - no resort fees and free breakfast. That should save you some real dollars.
