Tram between TI and Mirage closed
I wanted to go to Mirage, but tried to park at TI to dodge the parking fee at Mirage, and take the tram. It's "closed for renovations" for "several months." Between marginal weather and me having a bad ankle, I decided not to exit TI and walk. I don't know if the tram will be closed forever, but it's possible. When both hotels were owned by the same company it made a lot of sense, less sense when TI was sold, maybe the disparity in parking price is enough for them to be closing it for good.

Hmmm. It was last renovated IIRC only a few years ago, so you may be correct. It might remain "closed for renovations" until and unless the parking situation at Mirage and TI equalizes one way or another.
And that likely means TI will start charging for parking, leaving Venetian/Palazzo as the only holdouts on the Strip.

I remember several years ago strolling up and down the strip and the sidewalk in front of Treasure Island being "closed for repairs". No maintenance in sight, but barricades convienently diverted everyone right into the TI casino floor
