August 11th Weekend
 

Is something going on that weekend that I should be worried about?

Looking at going Aug 10-14 and flights are $600 from NYC. Complete absurdity.

Not sure how much longer I should hold out before I pull the trigger on flights. :(

There's a couple conventions right around then that are expecting close to 100,000 attendees combined.

I think the MAGIC apparel show is usually in August (and February)?
That's pretty big.

I think it's become increasingly difficult over the past decade to get <$500 fares for a weekend (2-4 nights) trip from NYC. $600 definitely high but not crazy, and definitely not "complete absurdity". :)
