Caesars - Pool and Rooms
Going to be in LV beginning of June for 5 days. Stayed at Planet Hollywood last time there and Monte Carlo - these are NEWish hotels yet I didn't find a standard room glamorous. Still just a room to me. I'm cheap so I've never cared about the room very much and I just recently got into the point/miles game so I have miles/points that I've not used yet.
When I was in LV last, I noticed that among the run of the mill hotels, Caesars had the best pool by far (I like relaxing around the pool when in LV - I don't gamble). I didn't stay at Caesars, however so not sure about the rooms. I've heard a lot of negative things about Caesars, but thought it was probably only because Caesars is one of the older hotels without the same excitement that Wynn and Bellagio and other newer hotels have generated. Standard room still seems to be around 400sqft even in these newer hotels. Anyone stayed at Caesars lately? The rooms, what's your opinion, a real honest to God dump or just lost luster because it isn't new anymore? |

Most Caesars rooms are fine....some are much better than fine.
I believe rooms in the Palace Tower provide close and easy access to the pool. |
Keep in mind that Caesars also houses the Nobu Hotel under its roof: nice design in the rooms, and room service from the eponymous restaurant.

Caesars - Pool and Rooms
the Roman tower is pretty terrible. like flamingo terrible. forum tower is ok but no jacuzzi tub. forum is good bc it is right in the middle of the casino and closest to the parking garage and food court. the octavius and palace towers are closest to the pools - they each have entrances on opposite sides of the pool. octavius, augustus and palace all have jacuzzi tubs. octavius is the newest room and has the best tech e.g. bigger tvs and a media panel that has hdmi inputs like the rooms at aria. the only bad thing about the octavius is that the windows don't have vents so u can't get fresh air. augustus is my first choice bc i don't watch TV when I'm in vegas and I like the air vents in the windows and the fitness center/spa is in the augustus tower. also the augustus tower is closest to starbucks, the diamond lounge and diamond check-in. there is also a separate valet entrance for the augustus tower off of flamingo but only cabs and limos can use this drop-off point, i.e. you can't valet your rental car here.
I have some videos of various caesars rooms on my youtube channel: youtube.com/gongjjatravel |
I stayed at the Ocatavius Tower a couple of months ago, and the room looked great. High floor, good view of the pool.

+1 for the Augustus and Octavius Tower rooms. The op says price matters so I'm not sure what kind of rate you will get on these rooms.
|
I think they've "redone" the Forum Tower, especially on a weekday, he may get the best rate there.
[I know of instances where rooms on PET (=dogs) floors are sometimes less than on NON-PET floors.] In any event, one can do a room search on their web site and EXPERIMENT--a FREE operation. |
