A day in the life of the Peppermill

The Peppermill is a must if you want to see "vintage" Las Vegas. This is a good read on 24 hours inside the Peppermill:

The Fireside Lounge is great. I wish they never put TV's in. This is a great place to visit and see every aspect of "nightlife" - 24/7. Businessmen, lawyers, doctors, construction workers, cab drivers, casino workers, hookers, pimps, lovers, married couples, first dates, you name it - visit this place. This is a great place to visit if you want to see Las Vegas from the 1970's/1980's. Just ignore the TV's that should have never been put in.

In the Peppermill (coffee shop), the food portions are huge - like 7 egg omelet's.

Anything North of Sahara is Downtown LAS (generally).

The area in pink is the City of Las Vegas. Downtown is the area around Fremont Street. The Strip is located in Unincorporated Clark County Nevada. Example: The SLS (former Sahara) is right on the border line. The Stratosphere is in the city of Las Vegas.

Love the Peppermill, and not just because they filmed a scene from Casino there. Great bar, good breakfast, fun atmosphere and as the article states, a nice piece of old Vegas.
