Tuscany or Candlewood Suites

Headed to vegas for a weekend. Wanted to keep it cheap. I'm use to "courtyard" level hotels, but really as long as its clean (especially in the bathroom) and safe, I'm fine with it. Plus I'm only going to be crashing there at night.

I am IHG gold and my most of my points are with them. I can goto the CandleWood Suites for $173 for two nights after taxes/fees.

However, I noticed Tuscany down the road. I'll get a pretty big room. I can get that for only $122 after taxes and fees.

Has anyone here stayed at either of these locations?
I'll have a rental car so location isnt really that important.

I have stayed at the Tuscany once and it was fine. The latest reviews seem pretty good. I have visited this property many times and it seems fine. I love their TV / Radio commercials - "Meet me at the Tuscany!" They cater to locals.

If you can save a few bucks - go for the Tuscany. Remember it is spread out in many Motel style buildings, but you have a rental car - so that should not be a problem. Also, look for buy one - get one offers for dining at the Tuscany on the internet and in local newspapers (LVRJ, The Sunday, Vegas SEVEN, and The Weekly). I do not know if the online versions have the same coupons as the print versions.

I have never stayed or visited the Candlewood Suites.

Good luck on your choice and enjoy your visit to LAS. Safe and happy travels!

Tuscany or Candlewood Suites

I stayed at the candlewood suites this past december for the into the nights promo. I'm platinum with the ihg mastercard so I was upgraded to a suite. it was clean and the hotel is safe. just make sure u park in the front. I haven't stayed at Tuscany so can't compare...but for the right price, I would have no problem staying at the candlewood suites again (I paid $58/night)

I have stayed at the Tuscany a few times-usually on a Hotel Tonight promotion
Room is Okay,large and clean.
Internet included with the outrageous "Resort" fee stinks.
The Italian restaurant is very good.
Easy to rack up the comps here with moderate play

If you're considering the Tuscany, it might be worth your while to get one of the discount memberships available from vegasrover.com.

Free play at that casino alone will pay for the two-year membership...
