Recommendations for where to watch Monday night football?

Any suggestions on a good place to watch MNF? Looking for good TVs and a good bar special.

Lagasse's Stadium in the Palazzo is a step above your run of the mill sports bar.

I like The Pub at MC and their happy hour specials, which will be during the game.

Where are you staying on your visit? There are a lot of great places on the strip, downtown and where the locals go.

To the OP where are you staying?

Yes, it's a beautiful place. BUT, you don't get comped drinks if you bet. And they have rip off betting odds, sometimes worse than you get from your neighborhood bookie. Go ahead, watch the game and have a couple drinks but don't bet there.

Agree with this except for the betting part. Cantor Gaming runs the sports book and the odds are the same at the Palazzo, Venetian, Cosmo, Tropicana, The M, Hard Rock, Palms, Silverton, online betting in Nevada and more.

For football the odds may be a 1/2 a point different than William Hill, Boyd Group, Station Casinos, etc. That 1/2 a point could be good or bad for you, depending what team you are betting on. Most of the time the line is the same at almost every sports book throughout Nevada.

Also, show up early if you want to get a seat. Again to the OP: Where are you staying?

No, not the point spread, the pay out. They sometimes work on a 5 to 6 pay out instead of the usual 10-11. They incorporate money odds into point spread betting. It's really bad and I found out the hard way last month when I only collected $82 on a 100 bet. The other sports book pay about $90. Ask what the bet will pay before buying the ticket, you be surprised.

Let me guess you took the money line? Believe me, if you made a bet in the State of Nevada, you were in the safest place to make a bet in the World. The NV gaming commission has very strict laws. If you think any casino would risk their gaming license "ripping you off" for a few bucks - guess again. My bet - you took the money line. The odds are the odds - when you place a bet.

The odds are posted at every sports book (by NV law). Cantor Gaming must go by the law. If they did not - report them.

Again, sounds like you took a money line bet.

Did you pay attention to the money line when you made the bet? While many point spread bets are at -110 (on both sides), not all are. If action is coming a little heavy to one side, but not enough to move the line 1/2 point, the books will adjust the money line. Sounds like you bet on something that was -120 (+100/even money bet on the other side). I highly doubt they're doing -120 on everything, that'd be double the vig of other places and they'd get zero serious business.

spread bets have a money line too.

eg, looking at today's NCAA odds at
http://espn.go.com/college-football/lines
most of the spread bets are -110 (or -105 at 5dimes, smaller vig), but not all.

Staying by the convention center. I am more concerned about a good atmosphere and decent happy hour/football specials than betting.

The LVH (former LV Hilton) has great drink/food specials and it has a giant sports book. It is right next to the Convention Center. 5 min. walk. Enjoy your stay in Las Vegas.

May be a bit late to for this recommendation, but the bars in Four Queens and Binion's downtown will rebate your tab in free play up to $50. You buy drinks, appetizers, food, etc. and take your receipt to the players club to get the free play. This is valid during most (all?) days where football is on TV. Note - the choice of slot machines you can use this on is pretty limited, bordering on pathetic...

I watched the Broncos-Patriots game at the $1 Michelob bar at Casino Royale. Had a blast.
