Is the T3 "first class" lane available to elites?
...or is Las Vegas still playing the game that ONLY first class tickets can use any kind of priority lane?
|
I've never been in T3 so don't have any experience there, but 1Ks have always been allowed into the F priority line in T1 - even back in the TED days. You should be going through T1 anyway for PreCheck.

And you should be using Precheck in T1. You can print a BP if needed at the generic kiosks on the upper level near security. |

The ironic part that GS' were not included in the F priority lane when Ted existed. Talk about ticking some elites off...

I'm flying out of LAS tomorrow. I have to check a bag. So, I have to go to T3 to the ticket counter. I have the magic "3" for Pre-Check, but I gather the only PreCheck for United is in T1? Flight is at 6am.
So, is there a bus or something to get from T3 ticket counter to the PreCheck lane in T1? Is it worth? Or just suck it up and go thru security at T3 and tram over to D gates? I am holding F boarding pass. Thanks, Doris |

Why would I go to T1 when my flight is in T3?

I have a headache now
UA says checkin at T3 but leave from D gates. I signed up for precheck but haven't yet flown since I applied. So when I leave LAS and have a bag to check, what terminal should I go to?
|
I just did this this morning. I checked my bag at the UA ticket counter in T3, and ended up going through security there. To use PreCheck in T1 would required shuttle bus ride to T1.
Granted it was 4:15am and I was the first premier to use the kiosk to print my bag tag, it only took about 20 minutes from standing in line/waiting for agent to call my name to tag my bag, to be thru security. Then was walk to tram and quick tram ride to D gates - went quick. |

There is a free inter-terminal shuttle ( https://www.mccarran.com/Go/Inter-TerminalShuttle.aspx ) should you choose to check your bags at the UA counters in T3 and then go to T1 to use the PreCheck lane, but only you can decide if that is worth your time. Certainly, you should ensure you have the "3" on your boarding pass before committing to making the extra trip to T1. |
thanks for the deets folks - one more q.
I think I'll just go to T3 and shuttle to D from there. Unless it's crazy. How are Saturday late afternoons?

PreCheck is the reason. And although you check in at T3, the flights still arrive and depart in T1 where they have always been.

I've never seen any noticeable lines at T3 so all is relative - but then, so is the need to clog up the 'first class' lane with non-elite passengers... Just an irritating way of managing it - basically making the 'first class' lane obsolete. |
