Yes. I've been comped with RFB on slots.

Pretty much the easiest way to be comped is to be a slot player...as long as you use your card religiously they track every penny going in and out.

Play the $500 or $1000 limit slots and you'll be comped like crazy... :D

I'm 0 for 4 on the $500 machines, one coin spin. Waiting to hit one soon :).

You really should stick to the $1000 "Top-Dollar" machines. :D

You're a Winner!

That's next on the list, as soon as the $500 hits :).

You'll get comped for ANY heavy duty slot play, not just high roller ones. Play a lot of $ and watch the offers pour in. Even .25 machine play will garner offers if played enough.
The key is money though the machine, not the denomination.
You'll see more comps for less money at lower 'rent' places if that's what you like.

Good luck!

Did you get comp'd anything at all for those 4 rolls? At least some free drinks or something? $2000 is a lot to loose and get nothing from it, at least from my perspective.

You get comp drinks in Vegas if you're sitting at a $0.01 machine and betting one cent at a time on one line at a time...

I've never played a $500  machine, but if you're only playing one spin, you won't have enough time for the server to make the "rounds", take your order, go back to the bar and get your order, and walk it back over to you (unless maybe you're feeding the $500 into the dollar changer in $1 or $5 bills...).

Great point! If you're looking for free drinks, play low denom machines and play slowly.;)

Comps are based on your coin-in (how much money you run through the machine), and loosely on how much time you play at the machines.

The more coin-in, the better the comps. Considering the hold on most slot machines (even the high limit machines), you are paying for these comps dearly. :D

As stated above, playing $500/slots for free drinks is not a particularly good idea. (even if, the drinks in high-limit are of a more premium quality) ;)

Don't they fill out IRS paperwork if you hit $1200? That's less than 3 credits on a $500 machine. Assuming one were feeding a roll of $500 tokens into the thing, wouldn't they have to stop and do paperwork every few minutes?

You think that the same rules that apply to normal people apply to the rich too?

(I'm guessing they they only need to fill out paperwork when they actually cash out.)

Actually, you ONLY receive a W-2G for jackpots of more than $1199; so if you keep feeding the $500 beast, and never 'hit' anything than you will never receive a W-2G. ;) Of course, probably the smallest jackpot (on a $500 machine) will trigger a lock-up (and you will get a tax form). Obviously, if you are playing a machine such as this consistently; the casino will post an employee at your machine to record the jackpots on a consolidated form (and unlock the machine at each jackpot).

I'm not thinking about drinks when playing a $500 machine. ;)

I will be more than happy with Any Bar on the payline. :)
