Monte Carlo vs. Paris

which is the better, accommodation-wise? Looking at their starting category of rooms rather than deluxe, expensive ones. prices are pretty even, except MC puts on resort fee.
appreciate feedback to book rooms for end-dec.

Between the two, go with Paris. Decor is better and rooms are more warm and inviting than MC.

Agree, and would also add that the food is better at Paris (coffee shop, buffet, etc).

Remember that resort fee is (usually) mitigated by the inclusion of HS internet access, so if you are bringing your laptop, be sure to factor that into your total pricing calculations.

+1 for Paris. Location is better also

Another +1 for Paris unless your priority is relatively low stakes gambling. Much more of that at MC than at Paris. The Paris buffet is also really good.

I've stayed at both on several occasions. I agree with other posters that Paris is the more upscale joint, but I actually prefer the MC. It takes much less time to get from my room to the casino and Strip. The resort fee does get me unlimited Internet access in the comfort of my room. The poker room is small but very friendly, and there is a large poker room (and also friendly) at the MGM Grand which is basically across the Strip from the MC. From the MC you can walk to Aria without even going outside.

The best for me is an excellent Indian restaurant named Tamba, located across the Strip from MC in the shopping plaza known as Hawaiian Marketplace, just south of Harmon. Walk past the carts into the glass doors and go up the escalator to the mezzanine level. Superb Indian food. If you should have the Filipino waiter named Alex, tell him that his frequent New Jersey customer says hello!

Thank you for your views. I hadn't known that MC resort fee included unlimited internet. So how much would Paris charge for unlimited internet?

Hawaiian Marketplace...yes, they have those large fans spewing out water mist to overcome the summer heat. I have eaten at Tamba. Good spread of (vegetarian) food at their buffet. If Indian food interests you, you may want to try Mt. Everest (nice choice of name). The link here may interest you:

It's usually $11 to 14.95 a day at most places.

Paris...no doubt!!!

A great hotel and one of the best location. In front of Bellagio. There's no better place to watch the fountains show.
