Good "regular" bars
I've been to LAS numerous times, usually with people for work. Going for 5 days at the end of the month, looking for advice on NON-casino bars that are friendly, sports oriented, etc. Is there much outside of the strip? I love San Diego, looking for something like Rock Bottom Brewery or Gaslamp Tavern type. In Vegas I know about Gordon Biersch, but it is kind of far off the strip (staying at the Flamingo), but something along those lines.......thanks.

Check out Town Square, which isn't that far off the Strip - there are a few good bars there - mostly catering to locals. Also, all the PT's Pubs (again, off strip)
Also, there's a few bars (higher end on pricing) near Fashion Square mall, but not really "bars" per se. Gordon Biersch isn't that far away, IMHO, for a bar feel. Not sure if the ESPN Zone is still at NYNY. Also, maybe check out the sports book at Venetian - it's an Emerils. And lastly, there's the sports book at the Hilton, which is a suprsingly popular place to watch games from what I've heard. |

For MNF suggest Lagasse's Stadium inside Palazzo. I have not been to First Food and Bar also in Palazzo but they have MNF specials. However, not sure if they have any big screens (as opposed to just regular plasmas placed throughout the restaurant).

If all else fails, just walk down to the Hooters Casino and visit Hooters or the Pete & Shorty's inside it. Monte Carlo changes up their brewpub up a bit, but it is not as good as it was years ago. |

Wow...I am very glad I posted here, ESPN Zone was my targeted destination for Monday Night Football! Didn't realize they closed most of their places. Looks like I need a new destination, does anyone know if the new sports bar in NY NY where the Zone used to be is similar?

Was in Lagasse Stadium for the first time this weekend - not as impressed as I hoped to be - not a lot of seating, MMA fight was on every screen - seemed like a hip/trendy sports bar, but not sure it's the kind of place I'd want to watch a game....
