LAS Shuttle to the Orleans hotel
Hi All,
I am already having a conversation with my cousin from LAS that she told me how to get on the shuttle from LAS airport all the way to The Orleans hotel. Because taxi is cost us and it was too expensive for both of us. This is not good timing for both of us at all. I won't get in the taxicab anymore. It was too expensive. There is free transportation provided to take on the Orleans Hotel shuttle to/from LAS airport. You won't have to pay the taxi anymore. Next time if you come to LAS. There is free hotel shuttle near the baggage claims. If you want to take on hotel shuttle from airport. Hope this is your help.
Regards

Hello,
Are you sure about the "free" aspect of the shuttle?
The last time I stayed at the Orleans (a few months ago) I took one of the commercial shuttle services to the Orleans (Bell Transpotation- the cost was $8.00).
As of that date, the Orleans did not offer a free airport shuttle - they did offer a free shuttle to their nearby partner properties (Gold Coast and Bill's Gambling Hall).

Their website does not indicate any free airport shuttles.
The Orleans does not offer an airport shuttle. However, the following commercial shuttles are available and located outside of baggage claim at McCarran International Airport. Shuttle times and prices listed here are subject to change without notice. Shuttles operate seven days a week.
I always get sad when I think of The Orleans, as my Stardust host moved over to The Orleans. Could never really consider staying there though; as it's too far from the strip (and I don't visit Vegas that often). For me to stay (far) off strip (with exception to the RIO/Palms area), it would have to be a flashy resort, such as Red Rock.

Still, it is a surprisingly decent property. I was attending an event there during my last stay, and found the value-to-dollar ratio very good. The staff is nice, the rooms are well-maintained and the food is not too bad for its market niche. I'm a low-stakes player, so I can't speak to the reward-value of the B-Connected program.

Yes, the Orleans is off-Strip property, but it is not exactly out-of-state either. If you had a car, from the Orleans it is a straight shot east on Tropicana, about 10 minutes to The Strip.
Granted, from the airport it could cost some money - but certainly not more than if you had to go to, for instance, Wynn or Rio or Mirage or other major properties. A lot has to do with time of day and traffic. BTW, the intersection of Tropicana and The Strip is one of the worst in the nation for traffic accidents - so if you do rent a car, don't gawk at the pretty lights and keep your eyes on the road!
The old days of every casino offering free shuttles is pretty much over - some still do, but for many of the smaller properties, it is not worth the cost. If you have 1000+ rooms, well - then you pretty much always have someone coming and going to the airport, so it is worth it - but otherwise, not so much.
I usually suggest renting a car to friends who come to visit Las Vegas and are not staying with me, unless they are staying at a location directly on The Strip and like to walk - a lot.
They have some amazingly cheap prices for rental cars here if you do some online searching. If you are staying at the Orleans (a decent hotel!) and want to go to The Strip fairly often, it would probably save money to rent a car than pay the taxi fares over several days.

Hello All,
We took on Showtime shuttle from airport to The Orleans hotel. It was very good ride on the Shuttle instead of going to put on taxicab. Because it was too expensive on taxi. It was great friendly to taking us to The Orleans hotel. Where some passengers is drop it off another hotel is Madalay Bay, and etc and we ahead us go to The Orleans hotel is almost 30 minutes. On the returns that we took on roundtrip from Orleans hotel to took us back to airport where we departed flight back home to PHX. It wasn't too bad for me at all. The driver is very friendly where he have to pickup more passengers by another hotel. Then we drove to LAS airport where we drop it off at the terminals 2. We came says goodbye to the driver. it was so much easier for both of us.
Regards

Just to reiterate some comments in previous posts...
Stayed at the Orleans a couple of years back. We really enjoyed our stay. However, yes, we had a cheap rental car and didn't find the trip to & from the strip and other destinations an issue at all. Some great room rates to be had (<$35/night). I recently received a rate card in the mail for Aug dates at $26/night. Very good (late night/midweek) food specials in the cafe too.

I'm not sure if the rate is still available, but it never hurts to ask.
