the OP didnt mention changing hotels
some people like changing hotels frequently (not for points/stays)

cosmopolitan has a package with 8pm checkout
amex FHR properties have 4pm checkout

I was making a general observation in response to another post, not necessarily the OP. My wife and I decided we wanted to hit 2 hotels in the same city once, and it's not something either of us desire to do again. The idea of staying 2 places was cool, but I just didn't think it through. Regardless of the checkout time, you still have to re-pack, load up, check out, check in, unload, and unpack. Not for me, but to each his own.

I'd avoid the Cosmopolitan, at least until it opens on December 15.

my bad. was responding to comments on checkout time, but was also thinking this was the thread (which might be on vegastripping) where dates mentioned were early next year.

It's like 1,5 mile, but you'll take a "highway". If you are without car, I really don't recommend Palms. Maybe Plat Hollywood could be a better option, but I realy don't know about kitchen.
