KE Business Class
Will be flying KE LAX-BKK in a few weeks in Prestige Class. Wondering if there are any amenity kits, etc provided. Anything else I should know? Will be my first time flying KE.
Surely they provide toothpaste! |

Hey
I will be flying in a few weeks myself ex.. ICN to TPE and then a few days later TPE-LAX via ICN.. all in Prestige. the flights ICN-TPE-ICN are going to be on an AB6 (A300-600R) then ICN LAX will be on a 747-400. I have flown KE before, but in Economy. :) How are the seats in the upper deck on the new style seats? I am booked for seat 17A on KE 11 on the 30th :D^

The skin refresher is a very nice touch. It's a vaporizer with nice Jeju water, neutral in scent. Very good to avoid dry, cracked skin on long flights and it doesn't get oily or stinky. It's a seriously nice amenity. I wish more airlines provided something like it.
In comparison, United's was a bit greasy and I wasn't keen on the scent. IIRC, SQ has something available in some of the lavs that's pretty good. Word to the wise: I've snuck into the designated "women's" restroom at the back of a KE 744 in long-haul economy and found the Jeju vaporizers in there, when they're not in the other lavs. |

Go to KE website to see if they show seat locations. Historically row 17 is the row opp the jump seats of the flight attendants. Window side is a little chilly sometimes....

Flew Business Class - JFK to ICN on the 12:50am flight in Nov - slippers, but no amenity kit provided. The evening supper is abbreviated - no starter or desert. Breakfast served prior to arrival. Menus and headsets collected at end of flight.
Great AVOD and the new seat. Good seat, but found it difficult to sleep in the the reclined lay flat position - found it better to be just reclined. But still a very nice flight. |
Hmmm. surely i'll have much better service on my flight from ICN-LAX.. it departs at 7:30 pm Seoul time and lands at 12:55 pm LA time same day..... it probably is due to the really late departure... most people already had supper hours ago and thats the time when people should be catching their beauty sleep... not a 15+ hour intl. flight ;) :D^

Yes, you should have a more elaborate dinner service on your ICN-LAX flight than the abbreviated supper service on midnight departures from the US.

KE's flights are famous for hot in-flight cabin temps. My recent ICN-BKK evening flight was positively sweltering. Mr. Megatop and I were sweating in our seats. I considered asking the FA's to make it colder, but I didn't bother, knowing Koreans (by reputation, at least) like the stuffy atmosphere.
