Booking Question
Planning a trip from the UK to Australia and Korean Air coming in with a reasonable price for an open jaw with a 3 night stopover on outbound and 1 night stopover on inbound as follows:
UK-ICN-SYD & BNE-ICN-UK Both UK-ICN & ICN-UK include flights on KLM metal via AMS which can be booked on the Air Korea website. My question is, are the KLM and Korean Air all one ticket or two separate tickets in event of IRROPS? My guess is one ticket but would like to hear the esteemed knowledge of the forum. Planning staying in Gangnam. How far in advance of check-in opening would I need to leave the hotel to be on time say using the KAL Limousine Bus? I’ve heard the traffic can be horrendous. TIA |
Since bought as one ticket you’d be protected against misconnections and other issues.
As for the KAL limousine I’d basically count on a range between 1h20 to 2h travel time depending on whether it’s rush hours or not. |
Not sure about KL, but for your KE flights, since you’ll be in the Gangnam area, you might as well use the city terminal to check in if it’s back up and running post covid.

Thanks for the responses. Much appreciated.

Did KE eliminate the stopover on one way awards? Some sites talk about it as it's still active while another posted it was eliminated back in 2020. Going through the motions with multi-city it appears to no longer be free.
