Tracking KoreanAir's 747-8 routes
Didn't see a thread for this purpose already, but given that the First Class configuration on this plane is so much more spacious than on the rest (plus Apex Suites for Business Class!), we should keep track of the routes that these planes currently handle. The only longhaul ones I see at present are ICN to both SFO and FRA. Haven't checked all the Asian routes yet.

Yesterday I booked ATL-SYD-ATL in F in April with the ATL-ICN-ATL legs on the 748. Flew on this beauty once before BKK-ICN in F so I'm looking forward to experiencing it on a long haul flight. With only 6 seats in the nose, the F cabin on KE's 748 is the most spacious cabin I've ever seen on any plane.

This year I was booked on JFK-ICN on the 748 back in February and my flight got an equipment change to a 777 with the old F seats.
IIRC the aircraft change to a 777 lasted for about a couple of months, and my flight was unfortunately in between those two months.
IME KE's 748 routes are never reliable, and they change often.
Do not book KE flights just to try the 748...there is a good chance you'll end up being disappointed.

Currently that is what it looks like... however I am booked in March on the 747-8i so they may have a planned schedule change... actually I would be very happy if they completely switched my current aircraft and had the a380 on the jfk to icn and used the 748i on the icn to bkk route.. but I know that is doubtful. Both have acceptable first class products and KE service in First is pretty great!

Deciding whether to blow the points on business and obviously the 747-8i vs. the old 777 they were using for a good while is a massive product difference.
