Suggestions on ORD -> NRT
 

I'm looking to book a flight in Nov for this route using miles. From what I can tell there is no waitlist (because nothing says waitlist when searching for award travel). Is their a way to ensure there isn't wait-list before transferring points from UR (beside calling KE).

The return flight has a ~15 hour layover in ICN. What is the protocol for that? Do I get my checked bag? Do I leave the airport and leave transit zone to get to a hotel? Any suggestions?

Has anyone had luck on "Premium Care Service" when using an award ticket?. Their site says not applicable but I wasn't sure if that actually enforce that.

I would like to fly one leg first and one leg business, but I can't figure out how to book that (just to save ~20k points) (besides doing 2x 1 way tickets). Is that a terrible idea to mix the travel class or ticket as one ways?
