Using Skypass for Garuda

Hello,

I've never used Skypass before, so please forgive if these questions are obvious to Skypass/Skyteam veterans.

We want to fly from DPS->MDC and then from MDC->CGK. According to the Skypass rep that I spoke with, this is considered a single round-trip and not two one-way tickets, so the cost per Y ticket should be 20K Skypass miles? She didn't see too sure of herself. She also said that it is a bit harder to say for sure since Garuda has a "special arrangement" with Korean. Is Garuda not fully integrated into Skyteam somehow?

Additional questions:

1. Should I be nervous about how buying partner tickets on Korean Air appears to be done? I had to call one number (I'm in the US), got transfered to a [very-nice] agent in Malaysia who took down my questions and had another rep call me back in 4 hours. I have to transfer Chase UR points to Skypass to want to make sure I don't any issues after I transfer the points!

2. If I find availability on Garuda's website, does translate into award ticket availability on Korean Air's system? Is a specific class of ticket that I should look for on Garuda's site?

Thank you.

I would check for availability on Delta's website first, or call them and ask. I don't know how Garuda's website correlates, because airlines usually provide more availability to their own.
