Getting ahold of call center
I have a seat assignment and ticket reconfirmation issue with KE for a trip coming up in a week or so. Every time I've tried their US call center, which is listed on their website as operating 24 hours per day, I get through to the number and am then told the "office is now closed." It routes me to another call center and the number disconnects altogether.
I tried calling their Los Angeles sales office and can never get through, and have tried a couple of other US sales offices but keep getting redirected back to the call center which is listed as closed. Is there a better way to get in touch with KE? At a bit of a loss. |
Getting ahold of call center
LA office is quite good at answering emails at: [email protected]
On second thought, they deal with Skypass issues so perhaps not relevant. Tried to call the English language call center in Korea? |

I am having same issues. Part of the time, they indicate they are having system issues and cannot connect call. Other times, they indicate that they have very long wait times. Waited 53 minutes this a.m. and then was disconnected...very frustrating. They also have not responded to e-mails. Any workaround would be appreciated.

Called about an hour ago to 800) 438-5000. I was holding for 10-15 minutes, but got through to a rep.
|
Same here, I tried it at 5 am EST (not because I want to but I was up early to jog anyway) and got to a chat representative within 10 minutes (via the website).

The Korea-based English language line hasn't existed for a while. Sure, you're calling a local Korean number, but for English, they route your call to Malaysia all the time now.

Either way, they can do a lot of things the website won't let you do, but they can't process the payment. |
The US call center numbers (800-438-5000 and 213-484-1900) have been completely down at least the last 2 days. "We are currently experiencing system problems and unable to complete your call. Please try again later." I was only able to get through using the Korean number (+82-2-1588-2001).

I had problems too. Very long waits on hold. After twenty minutes a guy picked up, but all he said was he couldn't hear me and thus the call wasn't really connected, so he had to hang up. Very frustrating. All I want is seat assignments.

This issue of the phone lines not working is so strange, I cannot believe it has not been rectified. Very problematic and must be causing lost business.
On the times I did get through (twice out of, maybe a dozen attempts) I was told their systems were down and put on a list to call back. They did phone back later, although the second time it took them 5 hours to call back (vs. being told 30 minutes). |
No improvement as of yesterday. I'm already booked, but surely this is costing KE some business.

Got connected after 12 minutes on hold, and this time at least the agent could hear me. But he said their system is down for improvements so they'll need to call me back with one to two hours. Gave him my cell. Let's see what happens next.
Totally shambolic. |
Well, they called me back in 90 minutes, from a number with Malaysia's country code: 60. The agent was able to get my seat assignments without much difficulty. So, be persistent and, I suppose, patient.
Still, having no functioning 800-number from the U.S.--surely one of KE's biggest markets after Korea--has got to be hurting. |
and a semi-functional website
