seat power outlets

What type of seat power outlets on KE in J? Wondering whether I need to carry my aircraft charger for laptop

Rampo Feb 12, 2011 9:06 am

As a general rule, KE outlets are standard 3-prong outlets and don't require any special plug or adapter.

Thx. Am flying HKG-ICN-JFK in J. Looks like on Seatguru that not all 744s have seatpower. Would they on this routing?

Is that 3-prong US, 3-prong UK or 3-prong AUS? Or one of those plugs that accommodates almost everyone :D

This photo is from an Air Asia plane, but the outlet looks the same.

So that looks like it will work for plugs from the US, Europe and maybe UK, but not Australia. Maybe asia too but not familiar with those plugs.

A photo is worth 1000 words - thanks!

according to seatguru, all of the economy rows have power outlets as well, at least on the 777s. but seatguru has been mistaken before. can anyone here confirm that the 777s (specifically, 777-300ER if it matters) have in-seat power in coach?

Never paid attention to the power outlets in Y but the seatbacks have a USB slot.
Maybe that can be used for power?

Go to the On Board->Flight Schedule with New Aircraft section of koreanair.com. If it shows "New Economy" for your flight, you'll have power outlets in Y. I suspect this is the case with all the 77Ws, but best to check for yourself.

Power outlets are located at ankle level below the middle armrests.
