Question Gimpo Transfer

Hi, I have a flight from Jeju(CJU) - Seoul(GMP), land on 5:35PM, and then I have another flight to make of another booking from Seoul(GMP) - Tokyo(HND), this flight is scheduled for 7:55PM. I will have a checked in bag.
Is it possible to clear immigration, retrieve luggage from arrival flight, check in luggage again, go through security again in within the time that I have? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to FlyerTalk.

With a connection of Gimpo to Gimpo, I would be optimistic. You don't need to clear immigration on arrival, just on departure. I can't speak to international security, but two days ago, it was just 5 minutes to clear domestic security and that was on a big holiday weekend.

Just a disclaimer I've never completed this connection but barring any unforeseen circumstances, it is highly likely that you will have sufficient time to make your connecting flight. Airports in Korea are known for efficient operations and quick processing times. The 140 minutes difference between your flights should generally provide more than enough time to complete the necessary procedures for transitioning onto an international flight. If I was in possession of your tickets, I would be very confident and would not be concerned about the timeframe.

It should be no problem, If you are traveling the same airline for both legs, you should be able to check your bag
all the way from from Jeju to Tokyo. There is no arrival immigration ( this is a domestic flight) , so if necessary to re-check, you should be able
to reclaim your bag fairly quickly. However, you will have to transfer from domestic to international terminal - buses
are about every 15 minutes, and take 5-10 minutes. Departure immigration and security at Gimpo are very fast.

Thanks everyone for the responses.

I will not be flying the same airline for both legs. The former will be Jeju Air and latter will be ANA, but after hearing everyone's response I am optimistic about this transfer.

Absolutely no problem presuming your Jeju flight is on time. I LOVE flying out of Gimpo to Japan - the airport is DEAD, I show up literally one hour before departure to drop my bags. No lines at security and the terminal is always a ghost town. Truly a pleasure to fly from Gimpo.

Unfortunately 7C and NH do not have an interline agreement - you will have to pick up bags and re-check.
Still will be lots of time to do so.

Just flew GMP-HND on KE and there was no line for check-in (even without status), no line for security, and no line for exit immigration. One of the fastest airport experiences I have ever seen. That said, I noticed a looooong check-in line for the MU flight to SHA.
