Yes - we are looking at that one too but it arrives at KIX at 1755, and the next Haruka is at 1846 to Kyoto, getting us to Kyoto at well past 2000. The *A involve switching in Seoul, but will get us to arrive to Kyoto earlier. I guess we'll ask the missus of what she prefers. We have quite a bit of bags. This time around our itinerary is a little off-the-wall (US to Europe, then to Korea, Japan, Indonesia, then back to Europe, then back to US - in 10 weeks time).

Update:
We'll do the T'way and that way we can sleep in at the hotel in the morning and do late check out to CJU.

Seoul Trip Notes

I travel a lot but haven't my itinerary to writing too much as you have done. I've been several times to Seoul, but never went outside the city, There's plenty to see and do. Any recommendations as to good places to visit outside Seoul? I'm not really interested in the DMV, I don't speak Korean. I'm willing to stay a night or two outside the city. I'm planning to go in early November. Is it worth flying to Jeju or Busan for 3 days>

Depends what u like to do n see.

Busan is a seaside city, a bit similar to Seoul but at the oceanside.
Jeju is an outdoorsy type island
Gyeongju is a historical city

There are also plenty of mountains near Seoul as well.

Hello, does anyone know if resort fees are common in Seoul hotels?

Thanks, I was checking on Chase Ultimate Rewards and was told they may be but they weren't sure.

Never saw one - just the standard 10% service charges.

Not a thing here - due to Korean consumer pricing laws, generally the price you see MUST include everything in it (taxes and fees).

I heard that visitor visa K, is on-hold at the moment, and therefore you do not need to apply for it. Can someone that travel recently confirm for me? I am going at the end of the year, and budgeting cost. Also, any restaurant recommendation or food that I must try while I am there?

Visa requirements depend on your passport and country of residence- there is no blanket response.
What has been temporarily suspended is the requirement for a K-ETA for those people who can enter visa-free.
