Are you concerned with the virus? My family is wanting to cancel our trip over it. Trying to decide what to do.

So far, most of the infections are occurring in places that aren't near Seoul. OTOH, the increasing numbers of confirmed cases are starting to look scary.

Im hoping they offer a waiver. Hate to pay over $1000 in change fees. With a 3 and 6 year old I just cant take any risk no matter how small it may be. My wife would never forgive me if one of us contracted the virus over a vacation.

My wife works for a very large oil company and they canceled all employee travel internationally. Guess will take it one day at a time. Perhaps will just go to Cancun or stay home this summer.

I'm not especially concerned with getting the virus, but I'm starting to wonder about the advisability of being gone for that long, with there being a non-zero chance of something happening resulting in significant difficulty in getting back into the US.

All that said - I think by June the decision will likely be obvious. Either things will have been contained and it will be a non-issue, or it will be clear that the trip is a terrible idea.

It will turn out that Korea will probably be one of the safest countries to visit.
