Cool JFK to ICN Round trip . (business/first opinion)

Hello!

I am planning a round trip between NYC and Seoul. I planned on flying an award ticket on Korean air.. I am going to try and fly one way in Business and one way in First.

Does anyone have opinions or advice one which way to choose to fly for the first class experience?

Ie: is the ground experience better if you fly first from Seoul then to it?

Oh, the ground experience will be better in Seoul than in nyc since that's where the hub is.

Honestly, it all depends on award availability. For the best experience, I would fly first from Seoul. The ground experience will be the same as they don't really offer escort services or special lines or anything. The only difference will be the First Class lounge in ICN. While people say it's not as fancy as CX or SQ, it's certainly light years better than the JFK lounge based on reviews.

Also, you should consider the plane type. The 747-8 has the newest seats, but I would still choose a daytime flight on an A380 as you have more time to enjoy the meal and the service experience, which KE is known for. If you take the night flight, the goal is sleep.
