ICN connection Asiana to Thai?

Apologies if I overlooked this during my search.

Arr. ICN at 6:50 from LA on Asiana; connecting to Thai to BKK at 9:35.

I presume there's plenty of time. Will through check luggage; presume I can do so Asiana-Thai.

Will I be arriving and departing from same terminal or will I have to change terminals?

Thank you.

Plenty of time, assuming you can check your bags through (should be ok).

When you get off the plane at ICN, follow the signs to transit security (it'll be early, so shouldn't be much of a queue). Go through security, up the escalator and you're in the main terminal. Then just look for the signs to the concourse (where your Thai flight will depart from) and take the shuttle out there. Shouldn't take more than 30 mins (especially at that time of the morning).

I would recommend hanging out in the main terminal (more to see/do) and going out the concourse at the last minute; there isn't much to do out there and once you're there you can't go back.

Hi Daxiuyi,

Very helpful information.

May I ask how much time should I allow to go from the main terminal to the concourse with a good amount of cushion time (30 minutes or so)? I don't want to cut it too close.

Thank you very much.

Ten minutes is plenty of time to get from the main terminal to the concourse. There is just a simple people mover train that runs every 2-3 minutes and several escalators on each end.

Asiana staff might even be there to help transferring passengers. The main terminal is the most interesting with the better duty free shopping, food and Starbucks.
