Depends on time of day as well. With traffic, the train can often still be quicker. But I'd go for the bus just to save the hassle!

The Limo busses do not stop right at hotel lobbies, but rather on the street. You wouldn't be more than a block or so from your hotel on a regular limo bus.

Thank you! I do recall taking the Limo bus years back from ICN directly to bus stop next to Seoul University. I thought they were called 'city' bus, thus my confusion.

Personally I've always preferred the KAL hotel limo, more comfortable and usually faster, as least in my limited experience ;)

I took the KAL Limo Bus to and from the Westin Chosun Seoul and I was impressed! For only 16,000 Won I had a great ride that was relatively quick and quite easy logistically. The seating on the KAL bus is a 1-2 config which I very much enjoyed. I have nothing bad to say about the KAL Limo bus! :)

Worth the extra money if your hotel is on the route. Can also buy discount tickets on Korean Air duty free sales.

I will be staying at the Millennium Hilton, I have read it is very close to Seoul Station. Only travelling with 1 carry on.

Just wanted an opinion on which is easier, more convenient or faster. I see train is a quarter of price of airport limo bus.

I will b arriving in ICN at 4pm, so most likely rush hour with heavy traffic and packed trains.

Thanks,

My flight landed ICN around 15h00. By the time I did customs, hit the ATM, picked up my sim card from the KBooks store etc it was around 16h00. The KAL Limo bus made good use of the bus lanes to get into town and I never felt like I was stuck in some endless traffic jam. Quite the opposite really - and I rather enjoyed seeing the sites on the way in as this was first time to Seoul. There was nothing special to see but it was just nice seeing normal people doing normal things as we drove by in the dedicated bus lanes. The bus driver I had drove aggressively but safely. I think he was doing his damnedest to stick to a schedule.

I've heard that the train can get crowded whereas in the bus you're sitting in a rather comfy business-class seat.

On the way back, I think I departed the hotel around 14h00. Again, with the bus lanes it was a smooth trip to ICN and there were no traffic delays.

I've taken Arex a bunch of times, but haven't necessarily found it that useful for Seoul. Since the buses have many more options, I'd sooner take those than deal with a couple of metro transfers from Seoul Station.

However, the ICN-GMP Arex ride is Seoul's trump card.

I've done the ICN-GMP a few times using the AREX. But honestly I think the limo bus is the way to go on this. Why? If you take the AREX, you have to walk to the train platform, sometimes involving several escalators. Then you need to walk to the terminal you need to get to. Starting at ICN, make your way down to B1 level then walk to where the trains are. Then go down escalators to the platform. Upon arriving At GMP, make your way up several escalators and enjoy the long walk. While the moving walkway is currently be renovated, don't count on the moving walkway to work. Add some luggage to the mix and you will get in your daily exercise just getting between the two airport. So there are two benefits, 1) The cost is low and 2) You get to stretch your legs with all the walking.

Or when you arrive at ICN, go outside to where the buses are and hop on the one going to GMP. When you arrive at GMP, you are street side at the departure level. Just walk in and check in. Advantage is that the transfer is stress free. Cost is a higher than the AREX but I feel it is worth it.

You get some exercise by taking AREX to GMP too...at least once you get to GMP. Also, if I've just arrived from a long-haul, the last thing I want to do is sit again (on the bus).

I've never taken the bus between the two airports. Are they frequent enough? Considering the short distance, I'd imagine so.
