ICN - which lounge?

Hi guys, I will be connecting at ICN and want to know which lounge is good for taking a shower and lounging around, as well as getting some good (free) brunch/lunch.

I am *G, flying in on OZ J (two-cabin), out on OZ F.

There is escalator to OZ first class lounge around gate 42.

In terms of food, showers, and lounging, is the OZ F lounge better than the SQ lounge?

I think you can't get to Concourse A where SKL is located with your OZ BP; at least I couldn't last time I tried.

I'm Star Gold too

Correct, because you aren't able to get back to the main concourse (or at least without an escort+scolding).

OZ is your only option.

None of the ICN lounges are stellar, merely OK. Much nicer lounges in other airports. As mentioned the various terminals are segregated and you can't go to other airline's terminal without a BP for that airline, so lounge hopping is restricted. But not missing much, if any consolation.

Both the main terminal and the concourse have KE and OZ lounges. The Cathay Pacific lounge is in the concourse, but only operates limited hours. You cannot go from the concourse to the main terminal or vice versa due to the way you are routed (for security). I actually perfer both the OZ First and Business lounges (common entrance, then turn right or left) in the concourse over the ones in the main terminal.

I flew J on UA a few days ago, and the OZ business class lounge was just fine. It was quiet, but with several different TV screens playing things like CNN and BBC news, lots of reading material, dedicated wi-fi, showers, private relaxation rooms, a nice soup and salad buffet with a sign announcing that hot food would be served at standard mealtimes, and the usual beverages.

It was nice enough that I wondered what enhancements the first class lounge had: servants fanning you with ostrich plumes?

I went to the OZ F lounge, it was one of the best I've been to. The food spread was not as wide as some other lounges in Asia, but the food quality is great. I was there from about 9am - 1130am approximately.

Quick question - if you are leaving from the A Concourse is the OZ lounge the best/only option as well? We are Star Gold, flying UA Biz, and have Priority Pass as well.....looks like there may be additional options based on that....(KE, SQ, etc)

You will have access to KE lounge as PP member.

I can't speak on the KE lounge (didn't get my priority pass at that time) but the OZ F lounge was great.

So you can basically choose either the OZ or KE lounge. To me, the OZ lounge feels like a dark library. It is dim inside with dark wood colors and an older but classy feel to it. Lots of space inside to relax, but no view of the airport outside. On the other hand, the KE is bright and airy. Modern looking furniture and a decent view of airplanes rolling by. Two very contrasting styles. Both of them usually have very limited food options.

Thanks for the info - hopefully we'll try to check them both out
