Incheon Airport Question

Hello flying OZ in a few months and arriving from Vietnam around 525 AM and my flight back to the USA isn't till 930 AM. Would it be a big hassle if I wanted to go through passport control and go outside for a bit to stretch my legs and get some fresh air? How are the lines usually around Sunday mornings at ICN? I've read the security lines are pretty short and am flying business class if that helps if ICN has expedited security. How long would it take to get outside from landing and then coming back to the terminal?

Should be no problem. To get out takes you 20 minutes, to get in takes you another 20 minutes. Add 10 minutes to each to be on the safe side.

Agree. Should be no problem. There is a free shuttle bus (departure floor (3F), Exit 3 or 12) which runs to the nearby hotels and a little park where you can walk around also. Buses run on 10 minute intervals and the park is 5-10 minute ride.

Thats great is there a link to find this shuttle bus? I may check out that driving range too. Is that worth seeing? I am assuming the bus also goes back to the airport from the park?

I don't know about the bus, but I suggest you take a taxi - they're extremely cheap in South Korea.

Here is the link to the airport shuttle bus.

As for the golf range, you can get more info here and also at their website but this page is in Korean language only.

If you are a Star Alliance middle tier member the Asiana Lounge has good food and drink without leaving the terminal.

If your are a Sky Team Member the Korea Air Lounge is very nice.

ICN is a very new terminal and has lots to do.

If all you want to do is stretch your legs, walk around the terminal. Quite nice, lots of shops, restaurants, not congested, super airy and bright.

If the real reason for getting out is to sneak a smoke, they also have smoking rooms airside. LOL

Does ICN have a priority security queue/checkpoint for business class? I did a bunch of searching on the internet and I only find trip reports of being escorted to security for first class passengers, or for folks going through transit security.

We had a rather unpleasant experience in the normal (disorderly) security queue today(10 Feb). Could not locate a priority lane or checkpoint. If true, seems a rather unpleasant aspect of an otherwise quite cool airport.

Unfortunately, there's no separate security lines for C or even F passengers.
I know OZ F or KE F revenue tickets are escorted thru the line however.
Sucks to get in line behind a bunch of inexperienced tourist group.

Which happens quite often when the banks of flights depart for PRC.

If you are a top tier flyer on Star Alliance the First Class Lounge at Asiana has great food and liquor.

They serve Johnny Walker Blue in the FC Lounge.
