Child train tickets in Korea
 
I'm going to buy some train tickets for travel in South Korea. Would I be right in assuming that I should buy a "child age 4-12" ticket for my 1 year old if I want him to have a seat?

Yes, 50% discount on adult fare.

Also, you might want to get KR PASS in lieu of regular train tickets. It comes with 50% discount on upgrade fee from coach to first.

Thanks for the response.

We're only planning on taking one train so KR Pass isn't suitable.
