KL B733 Damaged in Thunderstorm
"A KLM Boeing 737-300, registration PH-BDC performing flight KL-1797 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Munich (Germany), encountered severe turbulence while approaching Munich. The crew managed a safe landing at 17:27 local (15:27Z), no injuries occured.
The return flight KL-1798 however had to be cancelled due to nose damage.
A line of thunderstorms stretched from east to west between Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Munich at the time of the arrival of KL-1797.
