AMS-BRU and return with same aircraft?

I am flying often AMS-BRU and vv with KLM and I was wondering how they use their aircraft on this connection. After each AMS-BRU there is a BRU-AMS with the same aircraft type between 30 and 40 minutes later. I guess this is the same aircraft. The aircraft used on the last AMS-BRU of the day is staying in BRU for the night and leaving to AMS the next morning as the first BRU-AMS. Is this always the case or do they have spare aircraft in BRU?

And what happens to the aircraft that arrive in AMS? They are not leaving immediately back to BRU, so are they used for other connections then?

Most KLC flights from AMS to any destination return to AMS.

For overnight stays they usually have no spare aircraft on any airport outside NL.

After return to AMS those planes might leave to any other destination according to schedule.

Does someone have the schedules? I'm very curious about which airplane (from which flight) is flying on another destination the next day.

My guess is there are LOTS of planes that overnight outside NL in Europe. It is crucial for bringing in pax who connect to flights to North America, which leave early in the day. It's also perfect because then those planes are then pefectly positioned to return with the incoming pax from NOAM. It makes perfect sense. The same is true for AF planes overnighting outside France.

I think this is wat (almost) every EU-carrier does

But not the LCCs, their strategy is quite the opposite: get as many planes back to base every evening as possible.

But opposed to flag carries, the LCC's usually have several bases where that have planes stationed.

KL also 'parks' a lot of planes in the Middle East overnight. Where Schiphol is closed during the night most Middle East aiports have no problem with 3am departures. With the time difference the aircraft are back between 6 and 7 am in Amsterdam.
