Aanpassingen op vluchten naar de USA

Voor komende zomer voeren KLM en Northwest Airlines enkele wijzigingen door op het Noord Amerikaanse netwerk, met name op Los Angeles, New York en Detroit. Reeds geboekte passagiers worden automatisch omgeboekt naar het best beschikbare alternatief.

- Los Angeles: de extra geplande vlucht (KL603/604) gaat op een andere dag vliegen dan eerder aangekondigd, totaal aantal frequenties blijft gelijk.

- New York (JFK): vlucht KL645/646 wordt niet uitgevoerd van 1 juli t/m 28 oktober 2007. De route AMS-JFK blijft dan twee keer per dag uitgevoerd door KLM (KL641/642 en KL643/644)

- New York (EWR): de door Northwest geplande vlucht (NW63/64), operationeel vanaf 1 juli 2007, wordt vervangen door een KLM uitgevoerde vlucht: KL657/658

- Detroit: De introductie van de 5e dagelijkse vlucht (NW35/36) is uitgesteld van 16 juni naar 2 juli 2007

Bovendien vinden er een aantal tijdswijzigingen plaats voor de vluchten: NW36 en NW48

English synopsis :

- LAX: KL 603/604 will operate on days 13467 until September 23, from then until October 28 on days 4 and 7

- JFK: KL 645/646 will not operate July 1 - October 28.

- EWR: NW 63/64 will be replaced by KL 657/658.

- DTW: introduction of NW35/36 postponed from June 26 until July 2.

- Departure times for NW36 and NW48 will change.

Thanks for that helpful info and English summary.

These changes apparently have to do with the fact that NW didn't have the B752 aircraft available to operate the planned AMS EWR AMS as it prefers to use that capacity for a second daily DTW FRA flight. As a result, KLM will operate the EWR rotation as KL657/658 with A332, which has necessitated taking the A332 away from the newly introduced KL645/646 early morning rotation. The third daily JFK rotation is now planned to start for the winter schedule.
