Am I missing something here !!
Below is the cost f award flights from KLM. Is it not somewhat on the border of being fraudulant to sell something that does not exist.
The point I am making, I would be sevrely peeved if I used my hard earned miles to buy a business class seat to find they dont exist, but not to worry as I would get bonus miles and a beer ???? If I pay for something and get a sub standard product, then surely this is a breach of advertsing codes. Ok, some flights will have Europe Select and others just a Y-cabin, none of them will have C-class.
BUT on a BIG upside, because Humberside is listed under discounted award between Ams-Huy, this actually means that all flights to and from Huy within Europe are 50% off. So I'm bloody well excited! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif |

The new list also includes 50% off economy award tickets to JFK, IAD and SFO until 15/03/2004. -- Dambus [This message has been edited by Dambus (edited Nov 17, 2003).] |

So looks like total discount would be 6250 miles off the trip. [This message has been edited by Jenbel (edited Nov 17, 2003).] |
My point was they are trying to sell business class tickets on flights with no biz class facility

Originally posted by Jenbel: Not sure I understand - so (e.g) if I wanted to book HUY (which is a great little airport - loved my first trip through it!)-Prague, then the whole trip would be 50% off, or only HUY-AMS, with AMS-Prague at normal price? And the site is showing a discount of 6250 miles - not 50%. So looks like total discount would be 6250 miles off the trip. The discount is per one-way journey so actually it works out the same. HUY-AMS-PRG return for 12500 miles (either 25000/2 or 25000-6250-6250). Or HUY-AMS-SFO return for 25,000 miles. As a PE that is essentially a "buy 1 get 1 free" offer. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif -- Dambus |
Oooh, I see now. Gosh, I'm slow today http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif V nice offer!
Steve, not ignoring your original comment, you are entirely right about the extra miles of Europe Select on a service which doesn't offer it. I suppose their justification would be that they sell tickets in ES on that route, so of course they can offer ES seats. Would a reward ticket booked in ES have the same flexibility that a paid for ticket would have? I notice that MAN isn't included and that has recently started two 737 flights a day with "full" ES on them. |
