A GIFT FROM KLM !

Hi

Just got a letter from KLM after I wrote to them because of a faulty IFE system in C on a flight from LAX-AMS that says they "hope we will enjoy the gift that they have arranged to have sent".

Anyone ever had this sort of "gift" from KLM?

Certainly not! They could have sent me some crackers when I wrote to tell them that the starter, main course and breakfast were inedible on a flight in C from JNB to AMS, but no such luck.

We shall wait eagerly then to see what this "gift" is.
Of course it might never arrive or may arrive when I have forgot all about it.

Update soon.......

In the old days of KLMuk I once got 2 free tickets to amsterdam, and two years ago 3 bottles of wine.

A wheel of aged Dutch Gouda cheese.

A pair of wooden shoes.

A Delft Blue plate enscribed with the words "This Is Not Possible".

A bottle of Bols Jenever for your personal use next time you get screwed by KLM.

aaah...the suspense...

I once received a very nice bottle of wine in the mail from KLM as a "goodwill" gesture after a very bad experience. Don't know if they still do that, though.

My mom used to get silk scarves after complaining many years back - I think they were even Hermes.

I'm still laughing--like it's the funniest thing I've ever heard. (oh, well...it may be stress and sleep deprivation too--but it is really funny) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Thank you. Glad it made you laugh http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Well the suspense is over................

The wife got a bottle of Red and a bottle of White Wine and I got the same.

Domaine de Pellehaut, probably worth about £4 each retail.
Still better than nothing and I think I will try the Red one right now http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I always wondered why they had a FD-wijnkelder (wine cellar). Now I know :-).
