AMS Priority Pass lounge locations

I'm going to be flying from AMS on KLM to either LHR or LCY and I'd like to know which Priority Pass lounges are likely to be the most convenient for me. The choice is as follows:

GLOBEGROUND FIRST and BUSINESS CLASS LOUNGE
Terminal South. Airside - Schengen area, Pier C. The Lounge is located on the second floor, directly behind the ticket control (Departures 1).

MENZIES AVIATION GROUP LOUNGE
Terminal South. Airside - Schengen area, at the beginning of Pier C. Follow signs (Menzies Lounge No. 21) and take the stairs to the Upper Level where the Lounge is located on the right hand side.

MENZIES AVIATION GROUP LOUNGE
Terminal West. Airside - Follow signs (Menzies Lounge No. 43) and take the stairs, between E and F corridor, to the Upper Level where the Lounge is located.

GLOBEGROUND EXECUTIVE INTERCONTINENTAL LOUNGE
Terminal West. Airside - the Lounge is located on the mezzanine floor, F/G Pier (Departures 3).

From AMS to the UK you will be using gates located at D pier.

This is not in the Schengen area so I don't think passport control will let you into the Schengen area if you do not have a boarding pass so I guess you can eliminate these from your list. If you had a Privium card you could use these.

The closest one (I think) is going to be the Menzies lounge between E and F corridor.
Never used this, only ever used the one at C pier and this is crap, no snacks and only bare minimum of drinks.

I presume that your are not a KLM elite. What you need here is to find a FlyerTalker who is a KLM PE, flying the same time (roughly) that can guest you into the Crown lounge at D pier http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Menzies lounges are really minimal. You can always try them all ;-)

FWIW, so long as you don't need a visa, they will let you through into the Schengen area. You do have to queue though, as you're effectively going through passport control. Have to agree with the post about the Menzies lounge though - better than nothing, but the best thing about it is probably the view.

the best of the four lounges in ams is the globeground executive intercontental lounge. the way the lounges are situated in ams, the two schengen area lounges are directly across from each other before entering the area where the b and c piers split. the globeground lounge here also serves as the bmi executive lounge, while menziez covers af, az, and lh. you can enter this schengen area from depatures, as there is passport control to enter pier d from there. i usually am flying home to ny from ams, and i still enter the gate area from the schengen area, as the non-schengen passport control area usually has an exteremly long line.

as for the other two lounges, they too are a few hundred feet from each other. the globeground lounge is used by co, ua, cx, and a few other foreign airlines for their biz class passengers. this is the only one of these lounges that have couches as well as the high-back leather chairs which i find only so-so for comfort. this lounge is also the only one that have little sandwiches during the afternoon. all other lounges just have crisps(chips) and peanuts. i find it is usually the quietest of the four available choices. it is right above the food court and the entrance to the casino once inside the airport.
