LAX & YVR 50% Webaward now online !

The Business Class only offer to LAX and YVR is now bookable (from German Website). However MIA does not show up. MUC-AMS-LAX for 20 K in WBC - just amazing.

Those 20K are one-way, of course. However a very good offer!

Beware that YVR is on a 767 with a 'limited' C product...

Flights from March 1st to May 31st.

MIA is also bookable for 40k return.

Availability is low!

Just booked 4 people to Miami in April with no problem regarding the availibility. 40.000 for a return in WBC, unbelievable !!

Very good indeed...but, I wonder if it's a further 50% off for upgrades, (like I've just done for this route) ? After all, I would have thought that KLM would rather have the revenue for seats than give them away 'free'. Based upon this good news I could have saved myself some money....any ideas Ralph ?

Well given that a Y-class award AMS-LAX is still 50,000 miles I wouldn't count on any upgrade discounts.

Weird pricing model.

It would be logical that upgrades are also 25% or 50% off.

But on the [email protected] site it clearly states Y or C awards for those reduced miles and doesn't state upgrades. I guess most FD agents would answer your question with 'no' then... Of course it would'nt hurt to ask though...

Ralf, are you sure that Y awards to LAX, MIA and YVR are also 50% off? I don't see it on the .nl or .co.uk sites??

The KLM India site shows YUL (Montreal) at 25% discount, rather than YVR (Vancouver) at 50%, probably because there is no appropriate connection from the YVR-AMS to AMS-DEL flight.

UK site has YUL at 25% discount for C and Y , also YVR 50% in Biz . Must admit there are some cracking deals there.

According to Silvia at the Elite Helpdesk, the promotion does NOT apply to upgrades.

I know it is silly (and I am in the same situation as you!), but there you go...

Hi Nick...I sometimes just fail to understand the rationale behind this type of one sided deal...in todays climate particularly when airlines are supposed to be hard up. Why wouldn't the bean counters be looking for revenue as well ?...but then, I suppose we ended up paying...just seems a stupid way of doing things to me. God help my company if it is ever run by an accountant!
