transferring to asia
how does it work if i move my FD address to asia? anyone did it before?
do the miles and tier both move to NW? |
|
Actually, I am in Asia now since moving from England. It is a change of contract. I may well be back in Europe next year on another contract So I did not change my membership to NWA.
If your contract will also see you back in Europe, it may be a better idea to keep your membership with KLM. (Better benefits) |
thx davistev.
i wd be here for quite a while. and for convenience i wd prefer to be transferred. i suppose i wd be put into a NW account and miles got transferred? |
This is really uncharted territory right now as KLM has changed their programme. Certainly - you will get a transfer of status and your miles.
I suppose it will be 1:1 now.(Just a guess) Dave |
as per KLM helpdesk, the transfer will be 1:1 (either way) and the status would be maintained at the same level.
IaLTO ps: how much time does it actually take from NW to KLM? |
Just for your info, one of my collegues transfered and was quoted a 8-10 week transfer time but in actual fact it only took 5. He openned a WP account first and gave the number to FD to transfer his points/ status to which may have spead things up a little.
Good Luck! |
i sent them an email on the web, but no reply for 2 weeks http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
