Can anybody tell me what the KLM booking classes mean. They seem to vary from other airlines codes e.g. C, D,etc

Here's a partial answer.

Flights within Europe :

J Full fare business class, unrestricted and endorsable.

C Business class.

Y Full fare economy, KLM Cityhopper, KLM uk and KLM exel only.

S Full fare economy, KLM mainline.

B Economy. Minimum stay 3 nights (LHR and STN 2 nights). Maximum stay 1 year.

K Economy. Minimum stay 3 nights or Saturday night (WAW KBP LED and MOW Saturday night. LHR and STN 2 nights). Book at least 3 days before departure (WAW KBP LED and MOW 14 days).

L Economy. Minimum stay as for K. Book at least 7 days before departure (WAW KBP LED and MOW 21 days).

T. Economy. Certain flights to NCE LIS MAD BCN ATH LHR STN MAN BHM EDI GLA GVA CDG TLS TXL LIN VIE ZHR MUC only. Minimum stay 3 nights (LHR and STN 2 nights). Maximum stay 1 year. Book at least 14 days before departure.
