Ralf, the Netherlands and AMS are a little bit more expensive than Germany, especially when you fly on KL/NW
Cheapest fare on klm.nl to the US was around NLG 650 for AMS-ORD, fares from Eindhoven and Maastricht were exactly the same. Certain markets are much, much more expensive, but it is difficult to give a general rule, how much more they charge you departing from NL.I guess around DM 15O more for the standard Florida and East Coast markets. Check out www.ebookers.nl , they have a special section, called Dumpstore, were KLM is offering about 10 destinations a week, BOS is very often on sale from NLG 490 !!! Same with Vancouver ( on MP ) and Memphis. |

Thanks for the ebookers.nl tip; I'll test it for my next flights. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif

do I have to register for the double mile promo (FD Promotion number 738) or will the bonus be credited automatically?
|
One of these days, we might actually see an offer for the UK only !
|
You can not register for any promos at KLM, the number is just for them or if you have specific questions with their helpdesk (beware...). You get promos such as double points automatically if you are elegible.

I flew to the States last week from the UK, via AMS with NW.
Both the outward and return transatlantic legs were automatically given double points. I just gave my number as usual when booking and checking in. I think the offer ends 28th Feb though. |
