luggage tags
I just received my new FD card. Due to the fact that KLM fares were simply outrageous on some routes and dates last year in June, probably due to Euro2000 I went and flew with their competition (Swissair and Air France) to amongst others Porto and Kiev. That made me miss my 20 required flights to retain my Silverwing status. Now I am Bluewing again after having only 17 flights last year with KLM&partners. Anyway. I did receive the new card, but not the Bluewing luggage tags which KLM does require me to use according to their letter. But I don't have the old ones anymore. Is it not normally that one gets new luggage tags every year? I'll e-mail them and will wait and see when I get a response.

But do you really want KLM luggage tags of any shade of blue?
My RW tags have disappeared so many times in transit (and been replaced) that I rarely use them now. Other airlines' are more sturdy. |
I agree with Roger, I don't think that I want to be seen with KLM tags. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
You need many, many trips on KLM before you've earned even a free roundtrip Amsterdam - Eindhoven http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif BA Fan [This message has been edited by BA Fan (edited 05-09-2001).] |

I wish KLM made their tags more robust and changed the color of the tags and cards to gold like all other European airlines... Even a KLM partner(!) once mistook my card for a bluewing card until I explained her the difference... |
To the best of my recollection, KLM stopped issuing luggage tags to Blue Wing members about a year or so ago.

Thanks for the comments. Indeed KLM's luggage tags are very easily broken. A friend of mine happens to work at the company which makes the FD cards and tags. I have forwarded my experiences.
I am surprised that KLM doesn't issue any tags anymore to BW. So I still have to continue use my SW of which one is broken, or attach my Qualiflyer one which is better indeed. Someone wrote that one must fly often to get even a free trip from AMS to Eindhoven. There is no difference however to fly EIN, Paris or London for that matter pointswise. It's all 10.000 points return. |
Wow, 10.000 miles for a roundtrip amsterdam - Eindhoven. A trip that is realisticly not more than 150 miles roundtrip! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif
