Klm Plus?

Hi.

Thanks

I believe this product was withdrawn upon launch of Flying Blue.
And it makes little difference anyway, with the self service/internet checkin, the added value of C-clss checkin is far less than before.
And if you want lounge access and don't have sufficient Frequent Flyer level, I strongly recommend Priority Pass, a (paid) fantastic program that basically gives you lounge access worldwide, irrespective of airline flown.
In The Netherlands you get it for free with an Amex Platinum Card, for both yourself and one other card holder (although that card is not cheap - around EUR 500 per year).

Not bad at all.
However, not worth the premium compared to lower Economy fares if you only look at the inflight product (meal/seat).
If you can arrange your travel plans in such a way that you can book cheaper Economy fares, then do it and stay away from E.S.
Either by booking in advance, staying a number of nights, etc.
Use some of the savings to buy yourself a good meal before/after the flight!
If you need full flexibility in your fares or travel up-and-down in one day, then you might as well buy up to Europe Select as the difference between a ES fare and a "flexible-at-a-fee" fare is not that great when you add the change/cancellation fees.

They discontinued it.

Re priority pass, it's pretty good in the US (and apparently the UK). However, the big weakness are fortress hub terminals like FRA's terminal A, or CDG's terminal 2 -- no priority pass enabled lounges there.

I got it for free with my subscription to The Economist.

Is there still such a promotion going on and would you have a link to it.

Which lounges can you use at Schiphol with the Priority Pass? I was considering getting one before I reached FB gold, it's useful to know if their lounges at your chosen airports are in convenient location.

PP gives access to both Globeground and Menzies. On Schengen side they are on upper floor at 20 and 21 (main 'Plaza') and on non-Schengen at 42/43 (near FB lounge). Without wishing to starte a debate on lounge merits, I find each one of these is adequate - often much quieter than FB lounges, but with not such a good range of alcohols, and rather bad coffee.

As noted previously, you get a free worldwide PP card if you are an AMEX Platinum cardholder (in UK this AMEX is about £300 a year - includes travel insurance and other goodies)

Enjoy your stays.

I find the Globeground lounge on the Non-Schengen side to be far superior to the KLM Crown Lounges. (on the Schengen side it's exactly the opposite, that GG lounge is awful whilst the new Crown Lounge is great).
It's very small but has sufficient drink range, great mixed nuts that are always super fresh and usually nice sandwiches too.
Just perfect for me.
As to the coffee... it's a Nescafe machine, not too bad in my opinion although Douwe Egberts is my personal favorite next to real italian espresso.

Pardon the late reply. When I renewed my subscription late last year they sent me a flyer with this offer. I just had a look around their website, but can find no mention of it.

Out of curiosity, what benefits did the Plus card give ?
