best C-class fare ams<>almaty<>bkk-ams / routing?
Next month I need to go to Almaty (from AMS) in C.
But I also would like to combine this trip with Bangkok or Hongkong.
I cannot find any decent BIZ-fares to go to Almaty. Even to find available biz-seats is not so easy.
- Does anyone know better C-class fares to Almaty.
- Does anyone know a good connection/combination with a destination in Far East (Bangkok/Hongkong).
- How to obtain best fare for this circle route: ams-almaty-bkk/hkg-ams.
(another option is: bkk-almaty-ams-bkk).
There was always a non-stop flight with air astana ala-bkk, but starting 1 april 2006, this route seems to be discontinued!
Any help is highly appreciated! thanks. Ben.

Not the answer you may expect, but as Asiana is the only Asian carrier in one of the major alliances that serves ALA, you could do a star alliance RTW in C for 5399 eur:
AMS-xFRA-ALA-xICN-HKG-BKK- (NRT, LAX, SFO whatever)-AMS
as it's a very short routing, you could squeeze much more into the 29000 miles, but I don't know if the miles have any value for you being a member of FB and CX
if you go oneway to BKK, it would be only ~4000 eur for the *RTW in C:
BKK-HKG-xICN-ALA-xFRA-AMS-(US)-BKK
otherwise I think it's only Air Astana going east from ALA to PEK, ICN or DEL
