KLM has the best FF program ...
... clearly pre 6th June 2005! :D
KLM was voted as having the best loyalty reward scheme in the Condé Nast Traveller (Oct 05 edition) Readers’ Travel Awards 2005 with a score of 79.55. I don't see a repeat of that performance for 2006! Short Haul Leisure 1 British Airways 85.76 2 Swiss 85.62 3 KLM 84.67 4 Lufthansa 82.57 5 Monarch Airlines 81.02 6 SAS 80.48 7 bmi 79.87 8 Air France 78.63 9 Aer Lingus 78.33 10 Alitalia 78.05 Business 1 Emirates 86.60 2 Singapore Airlines 86.07 3 BA 83.00 4 Cathay Pacific 82.09 5 Virgin 81.99 6 Lufthansa 80.87 7 KLM 80.06 8 bmi 79.74 9 Malaysia Airlines 78.35 10 Quantas 78.02 AMS came in 4th place for best airport. Needless to say, CDG didn’t get into the top 10. |

I take it this was the UK edition of the magazine? (It would be "Traveler" if it was the US one, and I doubt Monarch would be in the Top 10)
I don't think any of these polls are particularly representative. BA always comes top (or near the top) in UK polls. Lufthansa always comes top (or near the top) in German polls. People only vote for airlines of which they have direct experience, so it's not surprising that both BA and KLM make it into the Top 10 in any British poll. |
