Closing AF lounge in B hall at Schipol

Coming back from CPH to TLS through Schipol, I learned that AF lounge in the B hall will close definitely this week. I'll regret it ; not that it was the most pleasent lounge in Schipol, as being tiny, with no computer and no wifi coverage ; but it was close to the 27 gates, where cities of southern France such as Toulouse, Marseille, Bordeaux are served ; the boarding time for these destinations was quite erratic over the recent times, is operated by bus, with a questionable comfort of this area ; despite it's limits, it was convenient to wait the next updates about the recurringly delayed departures... Who shall take the chance to go back in the D lounge for a delay which is expected to be 20 minutes, even if the actual is 45 ?...

Bad news. I've been using this lounge whenever on a Europe Select Ticket AMS-NUE. It is very convenient to the bus gates (not to mention the real daylight and the quiet atmosphere).

As speculated over the last months, the only question left was when will it close, the AF lounge will indeed be missed for guys leaving from the Fokker yard gates close by. Although tiny with no restrooms, you had a nice view of the inefficient turnaround of the LH planes...

Speaking about LH; it will be interesting now, if LH handling agent Globe Ground will take over the space to have a * lounge there.

The current location is not that well located for LH/OS departures, but since BD is leaving from the upper D concourse and is using the main space of the club, BD will remain there. With nearly two dozen daily departures on LH/OS though, they could operate their own lounge there...
