i just deboarded KL 658/NW 8658 EWR-AMS on this short 6hrs and 20mins hop

and i saw this

I think these are typical airliners.net questions and do not relate to KLM Flying Dutchman in any way.

Would be indeed interesting to know why they had to divert...

B 767 is normally famous for its reliability, however one of the aircraft´s seldom diversions on a transatlantic flights because of technical problems was on MP on an AMS-Florida flight more or less a decade ago...

Beside that a fellow passenger died on a UAL 767 flight my dad took from ORD to DUS a couple of years ago and they also decided to divert to some place in Canada before crossing the pond...

My experience on KLM when it comes to diversions, emergencies etc. is actually non existent, however we had to do a go around four weeks ago at VIE on a LH Cityline CRJ...
