AF E/N fare
Hi,
I just booked AF flights, at an E and N Farebase. Do I get miles on these fares? |
No
KLM’s special action fares now without Miles These fares offer the cheapest alternative, but with the most restrictions, such as a minimum stay and the fact that tickets are not refundable. A new restriction - as per January 1, 2005 - is that FD members will no longer be able to earn Award and Level Miles on some of these very low-priced tickets.* *Restriction only applicable to so-called ‘N’ and ‘E’ class fares as given on your flight ticket or e-ticket Trip Summary and Receipt. |
That quote refers to KL flights. The OP is talking about AF.
I couldn't get a sense of whether the AF flights could be construed as not counting or not so last time I booked a revenue flight with SkyTeam it was on AZ, which unequivocally states that all fares earn miles. Of course, my last six revenue flights were on *A. We'll see how that continues... |

Assuming of course AF have E/N fare classes and that the OP wants the credit to FD which seems likely since thay have asked in this forum. pmcg |
Both AF and AZ have E and N classes as the super-low priced fares. FD assured me, both by telephone and email, that an N fare on AZ earns full miles. They were unsure about AF.

Found a letter yesterday that I wrote to FD back in 2000 after fighting for 6 months to get miles (sorry points) credited for a Business Class flight where I told them we were thinking of moving to AF because of the useless Help Desk. How things change. pmcg |
