Upgrading on Continental
 

What is the best way to get domestic US upgrades on CO? I am KL PE and I have a BWI-MSY round-trip flight coming up.

Call NW Elite helpline in the US as they can upgrade you. I done it this way last year. (you can find the number upon doing a search in the NW forums)

The sectors that i couldn't get upgraded were done upon presenting my card at check-in.

Mind you though upgrades on continental are a little funny as they aren't really that well publicised in the FD manuals and on the internet site.

Can anyone confirm if PS's are still entitled to complimentary upgrades on Continental?

FD members are NOT entiteled to free dom. upgrades on CO!

Since when ? Last time I checked, it was an official benefit of the FD programm, at least for Platinum Elites... :confused:

But it NEVER was!
All there was, was a misprint in the FD guide!
It was corrected when the new 2004 FD guides were send out....check again!

Huh?! On my last trip to Mexico City (March 2004) I flew AMS-IAH-MEX and got a free upgrade in IAH as I asked (at the gate).

I guess......

GA are known to not know the rules and that one just did not feel like looking them up or wanted to be nice........... ^

I would still try though. Try at check-in and if they say no try again at the lounge....if no.. try again at the gate.

I flew a 8 flights a few months back within the usa and i was upgraded on all the ones that had a 1st class section :D
