Return flight past 12 months after outbound
Hi all,
I have to reschedule the inbound flight on a EU-US return ticket where I've already flown the outbound, and my new date would put me above 12 months between the outbound and inbound flights. KLM says that's not possible, but just on the off chance, has anyone here managed to get around that before? The only alternative they are offering is a voucher for the remaining ticket value, but a new one-way flight US->EU would cost much, much more than that, of course. I suspect I'll just have to accept that, but just wanted to check in case anyone here knew a better way.
Thank you all so much!

I have never seen one on KLM with a maximum stay of over 12 months; if you wanted such a ticket, I don't think you could buy such a ticket from the website, but would either need to ring up and enquire, or engage a travel agent.
You simply cannot now move the return date to a date past a year from the outbound. The basic rules of the fare you purchased simply do not allow it. There is no trick, no way around it, and no magic words that will persuade an agent to do this for you.

Almost all airline tickets have a maximum stay restriction.
